Kelly Bennett, Neighbor

I am a Jill of All Trades. I can most frequently be seen at the Ferndale Public Library, where it is equally likely that you will see me: checking out books to you, schleping speakers and sound equipment, selecting new (and quite possibly old) music for the library’s growing collection and promoting library events. I am also a junior publicist for the Ferndale company Green Light Go, where I put my skills and passion to good use promoting indie bands from around the world. I also write about local music at the FPL’s blog, The 780s, where you’ll find news, reviews, photos and videos.

Music, movies, books and the sharing of all three are what I really care about, and thus tend to write about.

I have a BA in English and a BS in Criminal Justice, both from Wayne State. I’ll leave it to the reader to guess which one I most frequently put into action.

Ferndale has been my home away from home for about 12 years and I don’t see that changing any time soon.
