A resident since 1997, Tom and his wife, Tiffani, are raising two boys in Ferndale.
Tom has twice run for political office. First, for mayor in 2007 and again in 2009 for council.
Tom had a column in the bi-monthly "Ferndale Friends" from December 2009 through August 2011 that visited multiple subjects including city council, the financial planning committee, the school board, the millage increase, the charter amendment, Ferndale's population loss, economics, the DDA, municipal consolidation, public safety, the noise ordinance, conservation, and voting patterns.

Professionally, he's the former CTO of InStream Service, but currently works with Xede Consulting Group, Inc., advising companies on how to best utilize both in-house IT resources, manage application development, and implement cloud-computing strategies.
