Great Escapes: Enjoy A Picnic in a Park

Warmer weather brings new opportunities to get out and enjoy yourself.

As warmer temperatures settle in and we begin to see more sunny, spring days, spending time outdoors will become more desirable. If you're into lounging outside on a blanket and reading a book or even having a picnic with your significant other, area parks are the perfect place to enjoy those luxuries. So, why not take a stroll down to Alligator Park in Huntington Woods, where you can snag a bench under the trees and spend an afternoon with your favorite page-turner? For your family, a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida may be your ultimate escape this spring. Wish you had your own copy of a Maurader's Map to guide you? I've just returned from Universal's Islands of Adventure, where the Wizarding World calls home, and I'm here to help. There are three actual rides in the Wizarding World, one restaurant/pub and a handful of shops. Here are my recommendations for a day spent with Harry Potter. My tips: Get to the park when it opens.
