Officials meet briefly Monday night to discuss neighborhood and business issues as well as December events.
Ferndale City Council gathered Monday evening, discussing various agenda items in less than an hour, including a multitude of events lined up for the city this winter. Robert Babut, treasurer of FernCare Free Clinic, was presented with a $2,000 check from Jerry Ollie, secretary of the Ferndale Elks. According to Babut, the money was reserved by the Elks for special projects in the community. Employees of FernCare, which opened its doors last month, are in the process of making a special donor wall inside of the facility, which is what the grant will go toward.
