A "Meet the Artisans" benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County will be held at Blumz by JR Designs beginning at 6:30 p.m. today. The evening will include food and art with more than 20 artists displaying work from jewelry to one-of-a-kind hats, skin care products, handmade exotic wood boxes and more. More than 100 students will come together to put on the production 'JFK on Broadway' this weekend.
Students of John F. Kennedy School in Ferndale are taking the stage this weekend to put on the production JFK on Broadway. This musical tells the story of a girl named Sophie. On the night before auditions for her school musical, she has a change of heart. “What’s so special about Broadway?” she asks. During the night, characters from famous Broadway musicals come to visit her to try to convince her that there is more to the music world. More than 100 students will bring the story to life with costumes, props and a supporting crew of more than 30 stagehands and volunteers. What: JFK on Broadway When: 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday Where: Ferndale High School in the auditorium Cost: Tickets are $5

Hi Sherry, Tickets are available at the Kennedy office or a limited number will be at the door. Tickets for Saturday's show nearly sold out soon after the announcement, so that's why the Sunday matinee was added. You could try calling the office when you decide which time you'll go, just to make sure there are tickets still available. And yes, tickets are $5. more ›
