Ferndale Library Staff Recommends: Teen and Tween Picks from Joseph Miller
Another in a new series featuring personal picks from the staff at Ferndale Public Library. Meet the library's newest hire, Youth Services Librarian Joseph Miller, who has some great recommendations for teen and tween readers.
Joseph Miller is a youth librarian at the Ferndale Public Library. He is a reader, writer and dreamer and has a weakness for middle grade fantasy series. He was born and raised in Detroit and attended college at the University of Dallas where he attained a Bachelor's degree in history and a Master's in Theological Studies. He entered the world of libraries through his part-time jobs during college, where he worked in both academic and public libraries. He is also a published author, having written Game Supplements and campaign settings for the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons. Another great series of books for teens recommended by the library's Ed Burns belong to "The Alchemist", by Michael Scott. Josh ripped through the first five in no time.
