Excedrin is Back! Migraine Medicine Now Being Shipped to Stores

The product has been off the shelves since being recalled in January.

Migraine sufferers – relief is in sight! Novartis, the manufacturer of Excedrin, announced Monday in an email to customers that Excedrin Migraine, which has been off the market since a January recall, is being shipped to stores this week. Novartis said that Excedrine Migraine should be back on store shelves in the next few weeks. The pharmacy department at Giant Eagle does not have a set date yet for when the product will be back on the shelves, but does offer a generic over-the-counter alternative that is currently in stock. Excedrine Migraine was one of several products recalled by Novartis in January after an internal investigation and complaints of "broken gelcaps, chipped tablets and inconsistent bottle packaging line clearance …

Excedrin Returning to Stores Later This Year

Excedrin was part of recall by drugmaker Novartis in January, migraine and headache sufferers long for return of product to market.

Excedrin fans, rejoice! Since January, migraine and headache sufferers been waiting and hoping for Excedrin to return after it was part of a massive recall in January. Drugmaker Novartis told the Wall Street Journal that production has resumed on the recalled Excedrin products. They're expected to be back on store shelves as soon as this month. The Journal added that bottles of the recalled medication have been fetching more than $100 at sites like Amazon and eBay.
