Ferndale Library Recommends: Dar's Power List

Ferndale Librarian Darlene Hellenberg breaks it down to the BIGGEST, BEST books of her life... No easy task, if you know her at all. Here's some essentials!

* Dar's a marvel. I don't know how she's able to rattle off such proper, on-the-nose picks for each person who might be looking for what to read next - and still keep her brain storming up new programming ideas to engage the community - like, say, a city-wide book club we call Ferndale Reads.  Anyway, when I wanna talk-books, I talk to FPL Reference Librarian Darlene Hellenberg. Ferndale Library Staff Recommends: Dar's Memorized Movies

Another in our ongoing series of staff suggestions from amid the shelves of your local library - Reference Librarian Darlene Hellenberg replays her favorites and acts along with them...

Darlene Hellenberg (Reference Librarian) is usually our go-to "recommend-er" when it comes to fine Fiction works - new & old.  This week, though, she's putting the books down and returning to her most favorite of favorite-est films - the ones she's seen 17 times (or more) - and can thus recite or reenact almost all of the (if not every) scene(s).  She and I often pary swashbuckling satirical jargon from Princess Bridge or bandy about macabre quips from Beetlejuice.
