Police: Ferndale Couple Lied About Robbery to Cover Up Assault
Police said the couple fabricated a robbery story to cover up that the girlfriend had cut the boyfriend in the neck with scissors.
A Ferndale woman is charged with felony assault and making a false felony report after police said she cut her boyfriend with scissors and lied to police about what happened. Ferndale Police responded to a home in the area of Woodward and Adams Court around 8:40 p.m. Nov. 15 on a report by two Ferndale residents that three young white males attempted to rob them at that location, according to a press release from Ferndale Police Sgt. Patrick Jones. The couple claimed that during the robbery the men were armed with knives and had slashed and cut the couple and then ran away southbound from the scene. Michigan State Police dispatched a K-9 tracking dog to the scene to assist in locating the suspects however the K-9 found no scent to track, …
