Earlier today, I-96 closed after an incident was reported on southbound U.S. 23 near Brighton. The road has reopened; the incident turned out to not be a shooting.
The following information was supplied by the Ferndale Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
There were five students arrested after incident, including three 18-year-old males and two 17-year-old males. An 18-year-old female was also arrested after the fight for behavior unrelated to the incident.
Anthony Prainito, 31, the driver of the Volkswagen Passat that Patterson's Chrysler 300 crashed into in Auburn Hills on Aug. 10, faces three misdemeanor charges.
Police chief: An officer was pushed to the ground during the brawl outside the school; officers used a Taser on one student to calm the crowd on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old man is accused of masturbating in front of a woman on East Hazelhurst on Aug. 29, The Daily Tribune reports.
The suspect was arraigned Tuesday in 43rd District Court.
The suspect in an attempted home invasion last week on Edgewood Place will be arraigned Tuesday, police said.
"Although this was a potentially serious situation, school officials could not have handled this situation more appropriately," said Ferndale Police Chief Tim Collins.
The intruder fled in a stolen silver Ford Ranger with a red logo on the door that says "Oxbow," police said.
