Work will begin Monday, May 6, to remove all public street lights between Livernois and Pinecrest as part of the reconstruction project along West Nine Mile Road in Ferndale.

A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Wednesday evening; major work on West Nine Mile Road is not scheduled to begin until May 13.
