- The inaugural Ferndale Restaurant Week lasts through Sunday, Oct. 13. More than 20 eateries will offer a variety of fixed-price menus ranging from $10 to $30.
- The annual Gilda's Family Walk & Run to support families touched by cancer starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Royal Oak High School.
- The Ferndale Schools All-District Fall Festival kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the John F. Kennedy School in Oak Park. The event will include games, a bounce house, a climbing wall, food, drinks and more.
- The Area Agency on Aging 1-B (AAA 1-B) will host the 14th annual Solutions for Family Caregivers Expo on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
