5 Things You Should Know This Weekend in Ferndale

    1. The 17th annual Ferndale Pub Crawl will be held starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 26. The charity benefit will visit more than 16 venues. 
    2. Girl Scout Alexandria McDonald will collect donations of clothes, backpacks, gift cards, toiletries, money and United States flags for the Wounded Warrior Project throughout the day at Treat Dreams and from noon to 4 p.m. at Geary Park on Saturday, July 27. Donors at Treat Dreams will receive a free kids scoop of ice cream. 
    3. Stop by the Ferndale Public Library for Detroit Waldorf Story Hour at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27.
    4. The Rust Belt Market will host "PUNK and Junk," featuring more than 20 tables of "priceless items and weird junk," as well as live music. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to midnight Saturday, July 27, with music starting at 8 p.m. Visit the event page on Facebook for more information.
    5. SKIN '13: A Melanoma Benefit – featuring former Real Housewife of New York Kelly Killoren Bensimon, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, cocktails, dancing and a live fashion event – will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at The Bosco. The fifth annual fundraiser will benefit the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
