Drunk Driving Michigan - Alcohol Testing Alternatives for Busy Professionals - Proactive DUI Defense in Michigan

One of the biggest factors in a Michigan DUI case are the testing conditions put on my clients. Unfortunately clients usually get arraigned without an attorney, and get harsher testing conditions than they deserve.  A judge may also hit you with random testing or daily testing, which means calling up every morning to see if it's your turn to go to the principal's office.  Hopefully if you're reading this, and facing this type of charge, you're smart enough to call an attorney now rather than going to court.  It's not going to cost you anymore to hire an attorney now rather than waiting - it's like trying an in-home remedy you find on the internet and making it worse before seeing a doctor.

I represent a lot of busy and successful people who travel and have to conduct business early in the morning when this testing is conducted.  My client's simply cannot afford to be waiting around to test, or have their travel limited because of their conditions.  Now does this mean I disagree with testing my clients? Quite the contrary, I actually embrace it, because it allows my clients to make a good impression on the judge and prosecutor.  My clients are generally good people who get themselves into a bad situation - alcohol testing gives them a chance to show they can follow directions and comply.  This testing works in conjunction with my proactive approach.  See Jonathan Paul's Proactive Approach to DUI Defense

Instead of this random/everyday testing thing, which severely limits my client's ability to work, make money and support their families, I have my client's do in-home testing, which is portable and can be brought on business trips, and done in the morning before heading to work without having to go to the police station or testing facility.  A judge doesn't need to agree to this type of testing, but I've had judges fully embrace it as an alternative.  My clients test everyday for alcohol, but don't need to disrupt their schedules - it's a win-win for everyone.
