Ferndale Runners Finish Brooksie Way

The top local finisher was Michael Discenna, who placed 15th overall in the half-marathon while Brian Butchart placed 113th overall in the 5K.

Proceeds from the race will fund mini-grants that support health and wellness programs in Oakland County. The , son of county executive L. Brooks Patterson, who died in a snowmobile accident in February 2007.
