  • What: A photography gallery by Gillian Pears.

  • What else: Gillian Pears currently lives and works in Los Angeles. She received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2006 in photography and her BA from The Evergreen State College in 1999.   • What: Fundraiser for St. Clair Shores wife and mother Jessica Johnson who needs a double lung transplant.
  • When: 1 p.m. Saturday
  • Where: , 22646 Woodward Ave.
  • Cost: Suggested donation of $10 at the door.
  • What else: Each $10 donated will get you one entry for door prizes, which include gift cards for restaurants, services (like massages!), gift baskets, jewelry and more. T-shirts will be for sale and a silent auction will be held for big items. Johnson, 33, was born with cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic disease that has left her with only 30 percent to 40 percent of her normal lung capacity.   • What: Popular Mega 80's cover band will perform.
  • When: 8 p.m. on Saturday

  • What else: The Mega 80's bring back all of the fads, the fashions and the music of the 1980s. Stop in and see why the readers of Real Detroit Weekly voted them "the best cover band in the city.” The Magic Bag is the exclusive Detroit area home of the Mega '80s. Ages 21 and older.

School bond fundraiser at Treat Dreams

  • What: Fundraiser and informational gathering for school bond issue hosted by Citizens for Quality Schools.
  • When: 3-5 p.m. on Sunday
  • Where: , 22965 Woodward Ave.
  • Cost: Free, ice cream available for purchase
  • What else: are trying to get the word out about the in advance of the vote on Tuesday. This family-friendly event will include activities like bingo, face painting, henna tatoos and live music. Treat Dreams will donate 30 percent of all ice cream sales during the event to the school group.
