Residents Invited to School Issues Legislative Forum Tonight in Ferndale

Oakland Schools Superintendent Dr. Vickie Markavitch will present information about state education reform proposals currently being deliberated in Lansing.

A forum will be held in Ferndale tonight to address legislation currently being deliberated in the State House and Senate that could significantly change the public education system in Michigan.

Oakland Schools Superintendent Dr. Vickie Markavitch will present information about the legislation, including Senate Bill 1358, House Bill 6004, and House Bill 5923.

The forum in Ferndale will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at Coolidge Intermediate School, 2521 Bermuda Street.

Senator Vincent Gregory, Representative Rudy Hobbs and Representative Ellen Cogan-Lipton have been invited to attend.
