Ferndale Youth Assistance Seeks Student Nominations

Students will be honored at annual Youth Recognition Celebration on May 13.

Ferndale Youth Assistance is currently seeking nominations for deserving local students or groups of students to be honored at its 33rd Annual Youth Recognition Celebration.

The recognition event will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, May 13 at Coolidge Intermediate School.

According to the school district's most recent newsletter, students can be nominated in two categories: Individual and Group grades K-12.

Two graduating seniors may be selected for a $500 scholarship from the David Michael Smith Scholarship Fund to pursue higher education.

Individual or group nominations can be made by school staff, church representatives, civic groups, business persons, parents and residents of the school district.
