VIDEO: Ferndale Students Raise Money for Schools With Fun Run

Students from Roosevelt Primary School and Coolidge Intermediate School participated in a Fun Run on Thursday to raise money for the PTA.

Students from and ran, jogged and walked outside Roosevelt on Thursday for a Fun Run to help raise money for their schools.

The event was a fundraiser for the Ferndale Elementary Parent Teacher Association, which serves K-6 students and parents from Roosevelt (K-3) and Coolidge (4-6) in Ferndale. Students set goals and sought pledges in advance of the run, and they were given pedometers on Thursday to track their number of steps. All students were awarded with a keepsake after the run.

The funds raised at the Fun Run, which was put on with the help of The Get Movin' Crew, will provide materials for the school and individual classrooms.
