Auditorium Overhaul Underway at Ferndale High School

Renovations to the Ferndale High School auditorium have started and should be completed by the beginning of October, according to the school district's most recent newsletter.

Work crews began tearing apart the area, which was built in the 1950s, last week. The work is being completed as one of the bond projects from the 2012 school bond.

Renovations will include new stage flooring, updated heating and ventilation and adding air conditioning, new stage curtains, a railing and wheelchair lift on the stage left, new wall panels for improved acoustics and more, the newsletter states.
