The council chambers was busy Monday night accepting a grant and approving 120-day moratorium.

Businesses looking to sell bongs, pipes and other drug paraphernalia in Ferndale will have to wait 120 days. Ferndale City Council has approved a 120-moratorium on the acceptance and processing of requests a retail establishment that intends to sell any items included in the definition of "drug paraphernalia."

For the 12th year in a row, Ferndale has adopted a resolution declaring June gay pride month in the city. "Communities that are inclusive and accepting of diverse people is not only good for the LGBT community, but good for the future prosperity of our city and county," Coulter said.
