Former Governor Jennifer Granholm Stops by AJ's Cafe to Sign Copies of New Book

Granholm and her husband, Daniel Mulhern, visited the cafe on Friday.

Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm stopped by in Ferndale Friday afternoon to sign copies of her new book A Governor's Story: The Fight For Jobs and America's Economic Future.

Granholm, along with her husband Daniel Mulhern, who co-authored the book, personally greeted a room full of attendees while thanking each one for coming and explaining a brief background of the book.

“We’re excited that AJ’s has decided to host us for a book signing because there is so much that we feel connected to AJ’s for, particularly in support of the auto industry and the workers in Michigan who have experienced what they have,” Granholm said.

Granholm previously visited AJ’s in 2008 for the Danny Boy Marathon, and once again during the following year when she attended the Assembly Line Concert, which was a Guinness Book of World Records attempt at a non-stop marathon concern in support of the domestic auto industry.

Those who brought two cans of food to be donated to Gleaners Food Bank, were given a $1 discount off the cover price of the book, as well as a $1 savings on a latte at AJ's.
