Community Conversation with the Center For Michigan

The Center For Michigan, a bi-partisan non-profit, is once again traveling the state holding Community Conversations to gather and amplify the voices of Michigan citizens to make sure what’s going on in Lansing reflects the views of Michigan people.

This time out, they are focusing their attention on pre-K – 12 education in Michigan. What’s working in your community? What needs reform? What ideas can you bring to the table? They are especially interested in talking with the CUSTOMERS of our education system: students, parents and families, and employers. They’ve largely been left out of the high pitched debates now going on over education policy. Yet, in many ways, their voices are the most important.

Join the Ferndale Area Chamber and Ferndale Public Library as we host the Center For Michigan in the community room at the Library for this innovative public participation approach that is solutions-oriented. Offer your opinions on what can be done to ensure a brighter future for Michigan.
