Daily Poll: Is Your Bicycle Registered?

Time to vote in our daily poll.

Ferndale's Charter states that: "Every owner desiring to operate a bicycle upon the streets and alleys within the corporate limits of the city shall file an application with the police department, stating the owner's name, residence address, make of bicycle, serial number, the former owner's name, and such other information as the chief of police shall required."

You can read it in Article II, Sec. 18-15, if you have your charter handy on your coffee table. Or you can go here and check it out.

In any event, your bicycle needs to be registered. No, I know it's Dec. 8 and we're not really thinking about bicycles too much, but I'm going to ask the question anyway: Is your bicycle registered at City Hall?

Don't worry; the poll is anonymous if you're afraid of repercussions.

Also, if you do answer "no" and you want to register your bicycle, just head up to the second floor of City Hall, 300 E. Nine Mile Road, and they'll take care of you -- as long as you have a dollar. Bicycle registration and license costs $1.
