to give back to Ferndale children whose bikes were stolen last year. Brown said about 40 bikes were stolen in Ferndale last year, and he identified four of those victims as Ferndale youths. He said each of those children will get a bike, and Ferndale Youth Assistance will help the determine the remaining six winners.

"I'm pleased with the turnout," Brown said.

Brown said he plans to do this next year around the same time and hopes to be able to purchase more bikes to give away.

The four youths whose bikes were stolen last year will receive their new bikes at a Ferndale City Council meeting, date to be determined. The remaining six bikes will be given away at a Ferndale Youth Assistance event, Brown said.
