UPDATE: Garage Fire on East Oakridge Rule Accidental

Garage behind home went up in flames Sunday afternoon. Fire ruled accident.

A garage caught fire around 2:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon at 235 E. Oakridge, destroying the two vehicles inside.

Both Ferndale Police and Fire Departments confirmed that no one was injured in the blaze.

Ferndale Fire Marshal Brian Batten said Monday morning that the fire was accidental but the cause, at this time, is undetermined.

He estimates about $35,000 in damage was sustained due to the two vehicles being destroyed in the garage.
