UPDATE: Police Make Arrests in Ferndale, Royal Oak Home Invasions
Police say eight homes have been broken into over the last three weeks.

Ferndale police said they have made an arrest in a series of home burglaries in Ferndale and Royal Oak.
A man and woman were just arrested after breaking into a home in Ferndale, Police Detective Lt. William Wilson said in a news release.

They are suspects in this series of home invasions that plagued Ferndale and Royal Oak.
More information will be released after the prisoners are booked and interviewed, Wilson said.

Ferndale police are warning of a rash of home invasions over the past three weeks and are encouraging residents to be vigilant about suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
Eight homes have been broken into in the northeast area of Ferndale along the east side of Hilton Road between 9 and 10 Mile, extending east about one-half mile, Police Detective Lt. William Wilson said in a news release.
Burglaries are occurring in daytime hours.
Wilson encouraged residents to be on the lookout for and report any suspicious people, vehicles and activity they see, including:
- Strangers in the neighborhood.
- Unknown vehicles cruising the neighborhood.
- Suspicious people knocking on doors and ringing doorbells.
