Ferndale Police Officer Competes in Brave National Anthem Singing Contest

Brendan Moore needs your vote by Sept. 14 to win a $10,000 grant for the Ferndale Police Department and an opportunity to sing during a Detroit Tigers game.

Voters have until this weekend to show their support for a Ferndale police officer competing in the Brave National Anthem Singing Contest.

Brendan Moore of the Ferndale Police Department is among the 10 police officers and firefighters competing for the opportunity to sing the national anthem during the Detroit Tigers game Sept. 22 at Comerica Park in Detroit and win 40 tickets to the game, as well as a $10,000 grant for their police or fire station.

Moore was in fourth place in the Comerica Bank contest as of Sept. 5 and voting remains open Saturday, Sept. 14. Visit the Comerica Cares page on Facebook, click on the “National Anthem” tab and follow the instructions to vote.

The winner will be announced Monday, Sept. 16.
