Ferndale Police Investigate 4th Armed Robbery in Month

At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, a gunmen walked into 7-Eleven and robbed it. Police are looking for suspects.

Ferndale Police are investigating the city's fourth armed robbery in less than a month after a 7-Eleven was targeted early this morning

At 12:30 a.m. Monday, Ferndale officers responded to the 7-Eleven on West Nine Mile Road for an armed robbery.

"A man, armed with a handgun, entered the store and then victimized two women," Ferndale Police Lt. Detective William Wilson said. "When the clerk tried to run, he struck her in the head with his gun. This knocked her to the ground and disabled her."

Wilson said the robber had threatened a woman customer at gunpoint and stole her purse.

The victims described the suspect as male, 27 years old, 5 feet 5 inches, 170 pounds with a scruffy face. The victims said he was wearing a black baseball hat, gray fleece, black shorts and black shoes.

Ferndale Police are asking anyone with any information to call the department at 248-541-3650.

The other three armed robberies happened on June 19, July 8 and July 11.

. The two suspects are a father and son: Alexander Beinville Sr., 45, and his son Alexander Beinville II, 21, both of Flint.

Alexander Beinville was arraigned on charges of possession of a loaded firearm on June 20, while the son was arraigned on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

Alexander Beinville is suspected as the one who carried out the armed robbery while his son is the suspected getaway driver.

No one was injured in this incident. Ferndale Police apprehended the suspects quickly after the incident took place. The resident's wallet was recovered.

. The men pulled out a silver handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded all of his property, police said.

After the robbery, the assailants told the victim to run south on Pinecrest. The victim did so, running to his parents' house and calling the police.

Ferndale Police are still investigating that armed robbery.

. The gunmen inside the pharmacy robbed the pharmacy of drugs and cash and stole from employees inside. The gunmen tied up  the five employees, hit one with a pistol and threatened to kill them, the FBI said in a complaint filed in federal court last week.

A female employee called 911 and left the line open as soon as the incident began, which led the police to the armed robbery in progress.

All three suspects – Aubry Allen, 19, and Alfred Wingate Jr., 41, both of Oak Park and the suspected getaway driver, Christian Reid, 19, of Hamtramck – were apprehended shortly after the robbery took place.

The case was passed on to the FBI and the charges are being pursued in U.S. District Court.
