Crimestoppers Offers $1,000 Reward for 7-Eleven Suspect

On July 18, at about 12:30 a.m., a man walked into 7-Eleven, attacked the clerk and robbed a patron.

Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the armed man who assaulted a Ferndale 7-Eleven clerk and stole a customer's purse July 18.

In the incident, a man walked into the 7-Eleven at the corner of West Nine Mile Road and Pinecrest on . The clerk ran, the man chased after her and hit her, knocking her to the ground.

The suspect then turned toward a patron in the back of the store. He walked up to her, stole her purse and walked out. Ferndale Police are investigating but no suspects have been apprehended.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 27 years old, 5 feet 5 inches, 170 pounds with a scruffy face. The victims said he was wearing a black baseball hat, gray fleece, black shorts and black shoes.
