A new video contest asks residents to use 'Downtown Ferndale' as a verb - and share their favorite ways to spend time in the city's downtown district.

It's time to start using "Downtown Ferndale" as a verb, according to the city's .

So, how do you "Downtown Ferndale"?

Whether it's bike-riding, shopping, grabbing something to eat or enjoying the nightlife, DDA leaders want to see how you spend time downtown and spread the word about what the district has to offer.

In a new "iDowntown Ferndale" video contest running through the end of September, the DDA is asking residents to submit short videos of how they spend time downtown.

Check out the videos to the right as examples. Each person who submits a video will get a free bumper sticker, and the person who submits the winning video will get a free Ferndale prize package.
