Fundraiser Today to Benefit David Michael Smith Memorial Fund
The community is invited to gather at Buffalo Wild Wings in Ferndale on Wednesday, where 15 percent of all purchases will be donated to the memorial fund for a Ferndale student who was killed by a train.
All day Wednesday, 15 percent of all purchases at in Ferndale will be donated to the David Michael Smith Memorial Foundation.
The in July 2006, sends kids to camp and offers scholarships to graduates. David's parents, Dianna and Lloyd Smith, run the foundation.
The foundation also provides funds to Ferndale Youth Assistance.
