C.H.A.I.N.E.D. Fundraiser

C.H.A.I.N.E.D. is a 501c3 non-profit working to improve the lives of Detroit-area dogs who live chained outside by providing vital supplies and services including fenced yards, insulated dog houses, spay/neuter assistance, vaccines, flea/tick prevention, food assistance, treats, toys, love and perhaps most importantly, owner education.  Compassionate outreach helps correct the problem at its source, which decreases the number of neglected and abandoned animals.  Given this winter’s unusually harsh conditions, there has been especially high need to bring animals indoors or otherwise shelter them from the elements.  Volunteers have been working day and night to help as many animals as possible, but they can’t do it alone.

On Thursday, January 23 from 7:00-10:00, C.H.A.I.N.E.D. will host a fundraiser at the Loving Touch (22634 Woodward, Ferndale).  The event features a raffle with donated items from local businesses including yoga packages, massage packages, pet grooming, food and drink and many other exciting gifts.  DJ Eugene Strobe will be spinning tunes, and the bar plans to offer drink specials.  There is a suggested $5 donation at the door, but any amount is PAWsome.

Supporters who are unable to attend the event can still help out.  C.H.A.I.N.E.D. can accept donations via the "Donate" link on it’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1434328700118405/) or a check made out directly to the organization and mailed to P.O. Box 2464, Riverview, MI 48193.     Those who prefer to donate supplies should see C.H.A.I.N.E.D.’s Amazon.com wishlist (http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/ref=cm_wl_search_1?ie=UTF8&cid=A2KRKP4JZ2XPNA) where igloos, food, crates and all manner of needed supplies are listed.
