Weekend Countdown: Wings & Wishes Tree Lighting

Ferndale's traditional pine at Woodward and Nine Mile will sparkle during the holiday event.

There's lots of holiday hoopla going on in Ferndale on Saturday, including events we told you about yesterday: at the .

But don't forget about this favorite holiday event as you are planning your weekend.

Where: Woodward and Nine Mile
Cost: Free
Why go: Join in on a holiday tradition, which includes the tree lighting, music and festivities surrounding Ferndale's long-growing pine tree at the corner of Woodward and 9 Mile.
What else: Local groups will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
