Spring What? Winter Storm Coming Our Way

Wintry mix and significant icing is expected tonight through Wednesday night.

And you thought winter was over.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for southeast Michigan starting Tuesday night through Wednesday evening. The storm is expected to bring snow, sleet and, everyone's favorite, ice.

Ice is expected to be the main culprit of this storm with "significant icing of power lines and tree limbs," according to the NWS. Roads are also expected to be icy through Wednesday night.

For you winter lovers out there, the storm may changeover to a nice wintry cocktail of rain, freezing rain and sleet, the NWS said, adding that the potential exists for ice accumulations of greater than one half inch of ice.

The NWS said the ice "may have a negative impact on the Wednesday morning commute."
