Readers' Choice: Geary Park Voted Best Place in Ferndale for a Memorial Day Picnic

We're on a quest to rate the best of the best in Ferndale. This week, we asked Patch readers to vote for the

in Ferndale came out on top with 41 percent of votes, with a total of 12 people voting.

Donald Red Geary Park is a neighborhood park with a baseball diamond, one softball diamond, two designated playgrounds, an inline skating rink, two small fields for soccer and a pavillion for gatherings.

In the northwest corner of the park itself is the Heroes Garden, a small plot of young growth dedicated to the victims of 9/11, as well as the veterans of America's wars.
