Nearly 3,000 in Ferndale Without Power Monday Night
DTE's power outage map shows that the outage affects the 48220 ZIP code.
About 10:30 p.m., Ferndale Patch readers started posting comments on Ferndale Patch's Facebook page about power outages on the east side of Woodward.
Ferndale Patch could not immediately reach DTE; however, resident Kristin Hargrave reported that DTE told her there was a transformer fire in the Nine Mile and Hilton area. Hargrave said she was told, "No estimate on how long it'll be out, yet."
According to the DTE power outage map, 2,749 people are without power in the 48220 ZIP code. Most of those customers are east of Hilton.

The DTE power outage map states that power would be restored Wednesday or Thursday.
