We're Thankful for You, Ferndale

Today is Thanksgiving. A lot of us will be sitting around a table later, eating more than we should. Some might be screaming at the Lions (hopefully no one is screaming at each other), some might be passed out from turkey, while others might actually be on the Internet, reading our stories; in any event, it's a time for thanks.

Let's put the football aside -- though it would be sweet to see the Lions beat the packers. Let's forget about the food for a second. And don't even bring up Black Friday. Let's talk about thanks.

We asked the question to our readers, what are you thankful for? You can read those responses here. But we didn't ask it to ourselves. What are we thankful for?

Ferndale Patch is thankful for you, the community. We pride ourselves on being more than just a place for information. We are a place for conversation, sharing and community building through these things. And, without you, the reader, the resident and the community, well, we're none of those things.

So we're thankful for your support, your readership and every single thing you've shared with us, whether it be a news tip, a photo of the first day of school, a letter to the editor, or a blog post.

Thank you Ferndale. We wouldn't be able to do it without you.
