Camping Season Starts Soon at Oakland County Parks

Campgrounds at two county parks open for camping starting May 17.

Camping season is almost here at two Oakland County park campgrounds.

On Friday, May 17, Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks campgrounds will be open for camping, according to the Destination Oakland web site.

Residents can camp in a tent or RV at an individual campsite, group area or cabin and enjoy sandy beaches, boat and bike rentals, fishing, playgrounds and trails.

The parks also offer themed weekends including music, crafts, kids' activities, group games and more.

Addison Oaks County Park is located at 1480 West Romeo Road in Leonard. Groveland Oaks County Park is located at 14555 Dixie Highway in Holly.
