Lights & Sirens Cruise Wails Onto Woodward

The event Friday in Ferndale featured classic and new police, fire, ambulance, county and state vehicles from throughout Metro Detroit and Canada.


The Lights & Sirens Cruise wailed onto Woodward Avenue on Friday evening in Ferndale.

The parade followed the Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show along East Nine Mile Road, as well as the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the 19th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, which runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.

The Lights & Sirens Cruise on Friday featured classic and new police, fire, ambulance, county and state vehicles from throughout Metro Detroit and Canada.

"I liked it," Camryn Williams of Detroit said. "I liked the red police car with the lights under it."
