Volunteering II: Electric Boogaloo (Who has the Copyright on that?)

So today was the second day that my wife, Allison, volunteered in Lilah's class and this one went a whole lot better.  I'm very happy for that because Allison felt so bad after last time when Lilah was overwhelmed by the particular day and not used to having her mama around - this caused a dicey time to be sure.  Luckily, I convinced my wife that it was a one-off and that she needed to give it another go, which she did.  Therefore, I am a hero.  And I don't mean that in a humble way.

We also had snack for the first time today and my wife took the kids fruit-kabobs on tongue depressors (oh the benefits of being a nurse) with yogurt and wanton cups to put said yogurt in.  The kids sound like they enjoyed it a whole lot and were quite surprised that the little wonton bowls were even edible.  Then, from what I surmise, Lilah spent most of the day playing in the water table to the point that it took me a moment to find her when I got there to pick the two of them up because Lilah was no longer wearing the same shirt she had been dropped off in.  As long as she had fun, though, that's the important bit.

Mostly, I'm just really glad they had a good day and that the kids were fans of the snack my wife came up with since it was a little on the more complicated and mind blowing side.
