Beach Party!

Quick beach party blog

Today was the beach party for my little girl at DACP.  I really love the idea of, especially on a snowy day like today, having the kids enjoy the class as though it were the beach.  There were water time activities set up like the water table and the teachers turned the rug area into a beach by having rocks, sand, seaweed, and water for the kids to walk through.  The kids also made their own little necklaces and Mrs. Fuller gave them all seashells (Lilah is currently holding hers up to her ear and saying "Shh, I can hear the OCEAN.")

The way Lilah was dressed was glorious, but a picture is worth a thousand words, so you can just refer to that when it comes to Lilah's attire.

There's so much I could say about all this, but my finger is still on the mend so I'm having to keep it short again.  One other thing I defnitely wanted to add, though, was just a little story from Lilah this morning.  As the kids were showing off their beach towels (which they used to have snack on the floor today), Lilah asked me where her beach towel was.  I said we didn't have a beach towel, per se, but we could use a normal towel.  I then promptly forgot to bring the regular towel as dad's do from time to time.  When Lilah learned I had committed this crime, she said "Yeah, you should go get that." in a pretty much pitch perfect imatation of her mother's voice.
