97.1 The Ticket's Stoney and Bill to Have On-Air Prostate Exams to Encourage Listeners to Drop Their Pants For Good Health!

97.1 The Ticket’s morning hosts Stoney and Bill, of the show Stoney and Bill with Sara, are doing what few have done before them – allowing a doctor to give them a prostate exam in studio, on-air during their show, to remind other male listeners to make an appointment for this important test. The exams will take place on November 27, from 7.15 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. November is also known as “Movember” when many men stop shaving to bring attention and raise funds for research into prostate cancer; Bill has also been growing his beard during the month.

“I have had a prostate exam twice before but men find it difficult to go to the doctor and have this test. There’s kind of a stigma about it, but it really is to men’s advantage to get this check-up and catch any problems early,” said Bill.

Stoney added: “It is so important for men to get this check-up and we want to show our listeners that it doesn’t hurt and there is really no downside to getting it done. If we can do it anyone can!”
