Weekend Planner: Cowgirl Pub Crawl, Tom Papa and More

There's plenty to do in and around Ferndale this weekend, so plan to join the fun.

1. 'Grease' continues at

Ferndale High School students will present Grease on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the high school auditorium. 2. Lez Zeppelin at the

Doors will open at 8 p.m. on Friday for the "all female, all Zeppelin" LEZ ZEPPELIN with Tom Chacon. Tickets cost $15. LEZ ZEPPELIN is a New York City-based all-girl band that has gained worldwide critical acclaim for the musicianship, passion and gender-bending audacity they bring to the music of Led Zeppelin. 3. Cowgirl Pub Crawl fundraiser at

Dress western and strut down to the Loving Touch on Saturday for a rootin' tootin' time that benefits Camp Casey, a local horseback riding program for kids with cancer. The event will start at 5 p.m. at the Loving Touch and continue with karaoke at Sneakers and other stops. Tickets cost $25 and 100 percent goes toward serving local kids with cancer. Fee includes souvenir stein that the pubs fill up for as low as $1. Free appetizers are included. 4. Tom Papa at 

Veteran stand-up comedian and "marriage ref," Tom Papa, takes the stage at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle Friday and Saturday. You may have seen him on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Late Show with David Letterman," or in Analyze That or theComedian. Shows on Friday and Saturday start at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at  in Royal Oak; tickets are $30. This is a special engagement show no coupons or discounts will be honored.

5. Stickers at 

Whether you’re a punk, skater, graffiti artist, musician, clothing brand, political activist, fine artist, or just a fan of a band, stickers have always been the perfect way to express oneself. Stickers features approximately 4,000 stickers from the exploding, vibrant world of street art, DIY culture, music, and branding. Cheap, democratic, easy to “tag,” and not always fast to fade, the sticker has been an ever-present medium—from the New York and London underground punk scene to skate culture and political expression. Celebrating the graphics of this street-art medium, Stickers illustrates the timeline of this pastime, from counterculture to politics. Exhibition at  in Royal Oak is Saturday from 6-11 p.m.
