Weekend Countdown: Bowl-a-Thon at Luxury Lanes

The weekend is almost here and there are probably lots of Halloween plans in store. How about taking a break from the ghouls and goblins and joining a good cause at Luxury Lanes?

Our pick for today:  

• When: 1 p.m. Sunday
• Where:
• Cost: Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges, which will provide the participant three games of bowling, shoe rental, food and beverages.
• Why go: Prizes will be raffled off and funds raised will go to help Ferndale Youth Assistance. The event is one of the two most important fundraisers each year for FYA, a charitable program that works with the schools, the local district courts, parents and the city and county government to assist youth with a variety of programs.
