'Twilight: Breaking Dawn' to Play Tonight in Ferndale

If you are — or maybe if you forgot about Valentine's Day and need a date night idea to smooth things over with the "Twihard" in your life — then you might be interested to know that .

The fourth installment of the cult-favorite-book-series-turned-movie-saga is showing Wednesday as part of the 's weekly Brew and View offered Wednesday and Thursday nights. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the film begins at 9:30 p.m.

Willy Wilson, publicist at the Magic Bag, said Brew and View is “a perfect midweek escapist thing.

“It's like you've been working your tail off all week, and you're like, 'I just want to go out, relax and see a movie and have a drink and see something cool,' ” Wilson said. “You can kick back, relax and just enjoy an interesting story and let your mind wander for the evening.”

The previous Twilight movies have been featured at the Magic Bag in the past and have done well, Wilson said.

“When we ran the first one, we were surprised at the reception,” he said. “But you know, people enjoyed it and came out.”

Though the movies seem to get a love-it-or-hate-it response, Wilson said the venue aims to offer something for everyone. Other Brew and View movies have included everything from The Muppets to the ultra-violent Hobo with a Shotgun.

“It's a little bit of something for everybody,” he said.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn will also be played Feb. 23. Admission costs $2, and all showings are for ages 21 and older. For more information, visit themagicbag.com.
