Shine On Yoga in Ferndale will hold a grand-opening celebration at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, with live music, discounts, raw juices and the opportunity for community members to meet its teachers.
The studio at 22751 Woodward Ave. opened quietly last month in a space just south of Nine Mile Road.
"(The grand opening's) going to be the weekend of the Pig & Whiskey, so it will be busy," owner Linda Marchione said in reference to the street party taking place July 19-21 in Ferndale.
The Stomp Rockets, J Graves and Tim Clark will perform during Shine On Yoga's grand opening, which will be attended by representatives from the Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ferndale Downtown Development Authority, Marchione said.
The studio also will offer discounts on yoga gear during the event, she said.
"We're small and we're new and this is just a way to call attention and say, "Hey, come in and meet us!', " Marchione said.
