came in strong in the bagel category with 13 percent of the votes.
Here's what a few readers had to say about the choices:
- Jacki Smith: They are all so different in what I would go to them for:
NY Bagel - there is no other bagel for me
Pinwheel - You have not had banana bread until you taste Anne's over at Pinwheel
Apple Fritter - that is the paczki place - in and outside of Ferndale.
Dunkin Donuts - love thier coffee and Iced Coffee
Tim Hortons - well, if I am on that side of Woodward and am in a hurry.
- Amanda: Pinwheel is the best. Vegan brownie is to die for and I am not even a vegan. Anne is so talented that everything she makes not only tastes amazing but also looks great. She is one very talented lady!
- Frank Castronova: New York Bagel: Best bagels in Ferndale, or anywhere else
Apple Fritter Donut Shop: Best donuts in Ferndale bar none.
Pinwheel Bakery: Best scones anywhere.
Tim Horton's and Dunkin: no need to go there because we have Apple Fitter.
- Christine: Apple Fritter for paczki AND donuts!
