PHOTOS: Community Gets 'Taste of Ferndale' at Annual Fundraiser

It was a full house at Boogie Fever as residents and community leaders enjoyed the strolling dinner event benefiting the Ferndale Community Foundation.

It was a full house Tuesday night for Taste of Ferndale, the fourth annual Mardi Gras strolling dinner put on by the Ferndale Community Foundation.

This year's event was at Boogie Fever and featured food from more than 15 local restaurants.

The fundraiser aimed to showcase some of Ferndale’s most popular and diverse restaurants in one location, allowing attendees to sample selections from each venue. A silent auction and giving tree were also featured, along with live music by Metro Jazz Voices.

Though numbers were not yet available, the event was expected to raise between $10,000 to $12,000 this year, with all proceeds benefiting the Ferndale Community Foundation, which promotes and funds a variety of programs and organizations in the city including FernCare Free Health Clinic and Ferndale Youth Assistance.
