Ferndale's Imperial Now Offering Sunday Brunch

Brunch options include biscuits and chorizo gravy with eggs; huevos rancheros; and carnitas hash and eggs.

A new brunch option is available in Ferndale starting Sunday as Woodward Imperial introduces a small brunch menu.

The California-style taco bar found a fast following when it opened in May in the former Post Bar location. Imperial specializes in "L.A. street-style tacos," which are open-faced soft tacos, including chicken, pork, steak and vegetarian options.

Brunch will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays only, said managing partner Jeff King. The regular menu will still be offered during this time.

"That was always the plan, we were just waiting to get our foot in the door," King said of the decision to start doing brunch. "We enjoy a little unique breakfast food. We finally decided to kick it off."

Three items will be on the brunch menu: Biscuits and chorizo gravy with eggs; huevos rancheros; and a carnitas hash and eggs. Each dish is priced at $6.95.
